Scoutmaster's Message March 12 2019

Good morning. Last night we had our monthly Troop committee meeting and it occurred to me that we have a lot going on, and I figured i would present you with a list of upcoming events and deadlines. These dates can also be found on the Troop website calendar at http://www.troop66matawan.com/calendar

March 20th: Deadline for the FSR summer camp t-shirt design contest. Submissions to Mrs. Harrington.

March 22-24th: Camping trip to Camp Rodney (see flyer and sign-up)

March 27th: Deadline for the Spring 2019 Class B orders (see order form). It is highly recommended that every scout have a red class b t-shirt for service projects, summer camp and other times when we're not in Class A. This is the official Class B shirt of the troop.

March 29th: Shore Comedy Night adult social event - We have two open spots at the Troop 66 table (see flyer but please register at http://www.troop66matawan.com/adults/comedy-night)

March 30th: Chris M. Eagle Court of Honor (see flyer)

April 10th: Annual Cake Auction & covered dish (see flyer)

April 12th: Camping trip to Worthington State Forest & Hike at Mt. Tammany

April 17th: Deadline for Forestburg summer camp payment of $430

May 4-5th: Introduction to Leadership Skills for Troops (ILST) at Quail Hill Scout Reservation. This Saturday-Sunday event is for all scouts second class and above who wish to have a leadership position in the Troop. (Anyone who attended last year does not need to attend again.)

May 5th: Scotty H. Eagle Court of Honor (see flyer)

May 11th: Field trip to Operating Engineer's Training Center

May 17-19th: Camping trip to Hickory State Park and white water rafting

June 1st: Deadline for Forestburg summer camp merit badge form, BSA health form and payments for merit badge kits.

June 5th: Troop 66 Spring Court of Honor

June 8th: Early swim test for FSR summer camp at Quail Hill Scout Reservation

June 22nd: Troop 66 Annual Family Picnic

July 14-20th: Summer camp at Forestburg Scout Reservation
