October 2018 Camping Trip in November 2018

The October 2018 camping trip was, although a bit rocky, a very fun camping trip for everyone involved. The trip was supposed to be held in October in the end of the month. However, because of the adverse weather, it had to be postponed until November 2nd to November 4th. This was certainly one of the only trips in a very long time that had to be postponed because of the weather conditions. This trip was also the first trip of the year, as the September camping trip had to be cancelled because of Hurricane Florence.
Nonetheless, the trip it self proved to be quite popular. Troop 66 was camping in Sandy Hook, New Jersey, after not having been there for a few years. Troop 101 was also joining us for the trip, which was refreshing as it meant that there would be new people to camp with. The rest of the camping trip went on fairly normally, as there was the typical tent camping, scout and patrol cooking, and some fun scout oriented games. There was also a hike on that Saturday.
Not only was Troop 101 joining us for this trip, but some Webelos scouts were also with us! They seemed to enjoy the trip as much as the scouts did. The camping trip soon took another interesting turn as the troop eventually had to leave early on that Saturday. Despite all these set backs and cancellations, the troop still loved going to sandy hook, and this proved to be another great weekend for the boys. Great success for our first camping trip!
