2018 Cake Auction

The cake auction is troop 66’s yearly fund raiser. It is the single fund raiser that the troop does, and the money goes toward things such as camping trips and free gear. This year, there were many cakes with many different themes. There was also a pot luck dinner before the bidding took place, Surprisingly, the bidding was fierce, as one cake in particular sold for over $200. The troop was able to raise a lot of money, and it is all thanks to the newer scouts and their parents. Some of the kids bid on the cakes, and by doing so, it insured that some of the cakes would sell for very high prices. The cake auction did not take place at at the high school, which it normally does. It instead took place at an event hall, located in Cliffwood.
