Scoutmaster's Message: January 7, 2020

Post date: Jan 08, 2020 1:49:36 AM

Happy New Year!

We have a very busy few months mounting, and I just wanted to make sure everyone saves the dates! Hope everyone is rested and we look forward to seeing everyone back this Wednesday night.

I would also like to welcome our new crossover scouts! At the beginning of December, Troop 66 had 38 registered scouts and with the addition of the crossover scouts from Pack 66, we are now 54 strong! Just a reminder that if you have a friend who might be interested in joining, please invite them to any meeting.

Now onto the upcoming events we have planned. And by the way, you can always keep track of the troop calendar by visiting http://www.troop66matawan.com/calendar

Summer Camp at Forestburg Scout Reservation- July 12-18, 2020

I know families are starting to plan their summer vacations, but please remember that summer camp is an important part of the scouting year and a big part of the scouts advancement and development. Every year we spend a week at our "home away from home' at Forestburg Scout Reservation (FSR) and this year it will be from July 12-18th. We're very excited because not only will we have the Bob Shea pavilion ready, but FSR has hired a new camp program director (Coach has retired), and we're expecting great things. More information to come.
