We left the Church around 5:45 pm on February 8th, there was 27 scouts

attending this trip. We were on the road for about 2 hours and 15 minutes and

got to Narrowsburg NY around 8:20 pm. The temperature was cold around 15

degrees and very icy. We got out of the car and went inside the heated cabin

which we all loved. We unpacked and it was 9:00 pm when we were ready for

hot dogs and hot cocoa, after we ate we had about 30 minutes before the

younger scouts went to sleep and the patrol leaders have a PLC which is “patrol

leader conference” when they explain everything we’ll be doing the next day.

When they finish we all went to sleep, except some adults because the night

was so windy and the door kept opening and getting cold air in.

We all woke up at 6:30-7:00 and we played outside or inside with cards

and the older scouts played Risk. Around 8:15 we had breakfast which was

bacon, muffins, corn beef hash, and fruit. We had to do our own dishes, then we

all went outside to the frozen lake to practice frozen lake rescues, we went

running on the lake that was 2 feet deep frozen. Later we went hiking and had

to go back because there was a river in our way. After we got back we had free

time and had lunch which was soup and chicken nuggets. Afterwards we played

some board games and had a campfire and some skits, we made yummy dutch

oven desserts and around 6:00 we had dinner which was mashed potatoes,

baked potatoes, BBQ turkey, and roasted turkey and carrots. Later we did

dishes and then we were allowed to go to the trading post. We went to bed

around 10:15 and woke up at 7:00 had breakfast and packed up our stuff and

packed everything in the cabins and left around 10:00 am.
